1. Mobile Tech: Smaller, Cheaper, Better (Pick Two) | ZDNet I’ve been reformatting some of my comics for use over at ZDNet, in hopes of gaining some new readers and maybe making a little money. The blogger using them, Scott Raymond, is a fan of the comic and has been really good about using comics, giving me credit, and even cutting me in on his pay for the help (cuz he’s a stand-up guy). This comic was hard to adapt, as it does not want to be shrunk down. Normally I can just move some things around, but this took some more thorough restructuring. The original (found here) had a line of comics above the chart, but that had to go for use of space. Also the text when shrunk to fit wouldn’t work, so I had to put everything into all caps and resize it in the space, which meant moving the lines around. Still, this remains one of my favorite comics to date. I love the look of the cords, I think I nailed that part more than anything. Also, Planck’s Apple Constant still cracks me up.
